I explore the intersection of art and technology through designed experiences
Mehmet Berk Bostancı is a designer, artist, maker and teacher. His diverse body of work spans and merges various disciplines such as installation art, computational design and graphic design.
Bostancı earned his undergraduate degree from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Faculty of Architecture, before pursuing further studies at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), where he graduated from the Advanced Interaction Master’s Program. Bostancı’s academic and professional journey has been greatly influenced by his focus on the intersection of design, technology, and human communication.
Following his studies, he proceeded to teach in several institutions and universities, with lectures focusing on computational design, digital fabrication, creative coding and physical computing. He incorporated his technical expertise into his art, creating artworks exploring interactive and generative fields. He produced installations featured in exhibitions, biennales and festivals in countries across the globe such as Spain, Australia, Estonia and Turkey. Also, he participated in establishing Turkey’s first skateboard manufacturer Getto Fabrika, where he took on the role of lead designer and digital fabrication consultant. He currently remains dedicated to research, design and creative endeavors.
