As a creative professional, my strength lies in how to translate a broad strategical marketing communication vision into the digital area. Specifically, the process of specifying an organization's vision, goals, opportunities and related activities in order to maximize the business benefits of digital initiatives to the organization.
Through my experience in working both on agency and client side since 1997, I’ve developed a strong combination of commerce and knowledge in this industry.
I currently lead adbusiness amsterdam, where I do business development for agencies within the creative industry and connect young creatives to senior professionals. I have also founded the Embassy of Dutch Creativity and am responsible for Epica Awards in Amsterdam. Besides that, and next to my role as Partnerships Manager at the Master Digital Design, I’m a guest-lecturer in Advertising and Psychology at The New School in Amsterdam
As president of the IAA Dutch Chapter (since September 2013) I’ve connected several different associations to work together. Both on national level, by organizing the new year’s congress with five different organizations, as well as on international level by getting IAA Global present at Cannes Lions for the first time in 2015.
At the Master Digital Design, I am responsible for bringing in exciting partnerships and client projects for students to work on.
I see myself as 'avant la lettre'. I always have one goal in sight: the right skills and expertise have to be combined through people. My 'seize the day'-energy is infectious. I understand that the right energy only gets you moving, but you need to set a goal to get somewhere. This is why I get things done.
